Whether it's the emotion and excitement of a wedding day, an important public event, an intimate family celebration or a gathering that simply brings friends and family together, my aim is to document the story as it unfolds. I like to work in a relaxed, unobtrusive way, looking for genuine expressions, spontaneous moments and the details that might otherwise be missed.
From the preparations and anticipation of the morning to the ceremony, that all-important first kiss, family group photographs and the fun of the evening celebrations, there are so many moments that make your wedding uniquely yours.
I offer both part-day and full-day coverage, that work along side your plans. While part-day coverage can be ideal for a shorter celebration, full-day coverage allows me to tell a much more complete story, capturing more little moments, interactions and memories that you might otherwise miss. Whatever option you choose, you can be rest assured of a relaxed, yet professional experience.
Every occasion is different, so I'll take the time to understand what's important to you and the kind of photographs you'd like to come away with. From natural photographs of family and friends to the exciting atmosphere of a busy event, I want to create a collection of images that brings the experience back to life long after the day itself.
I believe a good wedding photographer brings more to the day than just a camera. From helping organise family group photographs and keeping an eye on timings to adapting calmly when plans change, I'm always happy to lend a hand where I can.
I will always work closely with your wedding planner, venue team and other suppliers, recognising that everyone plays an important part in making your day special. Good communication, a little flexibility and a willingness to help can make all the difference, allowing everything to run as smoothly as possible, allowing you relax and enjoy your special day.
Based in Colchester, I photograph weddings, private celebrations and events throughout Essex, Suffolk, Norfolk, Kent and beyond. I offer free, no-obligation consultations for couples planning their wedding or other celebration, giving us time to discuss your plans, talk through your photography requirements and get to know each other before the big day.
For forthcoming couples wanting to capture the excitement of their engagement, I also offer dedicated engagement photography sessions. And, as part of my wedding photography service, I offer an optional, complimentary pre-wedding photoshoot. This gives us a chance to spend some time together with the cameras out, helping you feel more comfortable in front of the camera and settle any nerves before your wedding day.
